Parfois dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui \u00e9volue vite, dans un environnement qui bouge, dans une ville qui se construit sans arr\u00eat et se reconstruit, l\u2019homme a besoin de rep\u00e8res, de valeurs auxquelles se raccrocher pour ne pas avoir le sentiment de se perdre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comme un phare dans la nuit cet immeuble de New-York repr\u00e9sente le rep\u00e8re, la stabilit\u00e9. Il porte en lui l\u2019histoire de la ville, celle qui a \u00e9crit les pages de son \u00e9volution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evidement cette interpr\u00e9tation est celle de la peintre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En le parant de rouge intense, l\u2019immeuble principal au premier plan prend de la distance avec les immeubles de verre et d\u2019acier flout\u00e9s au loin. Cette opposition symbolise la terre ferme, l\u2019immuabilit\u00e9, en opposition au volatile. (En architecture et en pens\u00e9e).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le style est \u00e0 la loi impressionniste par ces touches de peintures et l\u2019ambiance produite par les couleurs, il est expressionniste par son interpr\u00e9tation de la ville, non pas r\u00e9aliste mais sugg\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, in a rapidly evolving society, in a constantly moving environment, in a city that is endlessly building and rebuilding itself, people need anchors, values to hold onto so they don’t feel lost.
Like a lighthouse in the night, this New York building represents an anchor, a symbol of stability. It carries within it the history of the city, the story of its evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Of course, this interpretation is that of the painter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


By dressing the main building in intense red, it is set apart from the blurred glass and steel buildings in the distance. This contrast symbolizes solid ground, immutability, as opposed to the fleeting and transient. (Both in architecture and in thought.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The style leans toward impressionism through the brushstrokes and the atmosphere created by the colors, yet it is also expressionist in its interpretation of the city\u2014suggested rather than realistic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
