C’est un souvenir de Londres, particulier en ces temps de repli sur soi.

Camden market: The flea market in London.
In an century where everything is changing, and changing quickly, there are still some places where nothing has changed: a thing of the past in a middle of a very modern and moving city: London.
There, you can buy vinyl’s from the seventies, dress with forties’ skirts and jackets and listen to sixties’ music.
There is a special atmosphere for treasure hunters, smells of wood and leather.
Outside there are smells of fish and chips and curry that invite you to travel in others parts of the world.
It’s a time machine…
This painting is a feel god painting a painting of a comfortable atmosphere where you are cut from the violence and the problems of the world.
The warm colors of the lamps give the atmosphere a nice cosiness. I put a first layer of red-orange colours on which i painted the details of the painting. This first layer gives a warm touch to the painting.
It’s a feel good painting: I played with warm colours to give a nice feeling of nostalgy
