Après la série sur la ville de Bath en Grande-Bretagne, je commence une série toujours anglaise sur la ville de Cambridge, célèbre dans le monde entier pour son Université et ses différents « colleges ».
Le choix du thème n’est pas anodin, il représente deux symboles, celui de la pierre, immuable, éternelle, qui protège les hommes.
Celui du savoir, de la connaissance, de la recherche, thèmes qui s’opposent à notre monde de communication rapide, d’informations qui se succèdent mais sans recherches approfondies. Opposition entre culture et bad buzz entre recherche et fake news.
Protégé par un vernis brillant, le tableau est peint sur les côtés et prêt à être accroché.

After the series on the city of Bath in Great Britain, I am beginning a new, still English-themed series on the city of Cambridge, world-renowned for its University and its various colleges.
The choice of theme is not accidental; it represents two powerful symbols: that of stone—unchanging, eternal, a protector of mankind—and that of knowledge, learning, and research. These themes stand in stark contrast to our fast-paced world of instant communication and rapidly flowing information, often lacking in-depth investigation. A tension between culture and bad buzz, between research and fake news.
The painting is protected with a glossy varnish. The sides are painted and it is ready to hang.
