Dans le quartier de South Kensington and Chelsea, un quartier très chic de Londres.
Les lumières de la ville s’allument tandis que le soleil se couche.
Elles donnent une atmosphère tendre à la ville, rehaussées par les couleurs douces des immeubles du quartier, faits de briques rouges et de pierres blanches des portiques. Les lumières des lampadaires se reflètent dans les vitres des voitures de luxe.
La ville ne s’endort pas en ce beau soir d’été, c’est l’heure des rendez-vous au pub, chez les amis, ou des promenades tardives le long de la proche Tamise.
J’aime particulièrement cette ville que je peins régulièrement.
L’atmosphère est décidemment chic et cosy. Le style est néo-impressionniste : une touche de réalité, deux touches d’imagination.

The lights give an atmosphere of peace and tenderness, they’re shining on the warm colours of the buildings made of bricks and the light white stones of the porticoes. The lights reflect themselves on the luxury cars parked alongside the buildings.
The city doesn’t sleep on this warm summer day; it’s time to meet friends in pubs or at home, to wander along the river Thames nearby.
The atmosphere is so chic and cosy. The style of the painting is neo-impressionism: a touch of reality, too of dream.
