Les couleurs des fenêtres claquent sur le ciel de nuit. La partie gauche du tableau se fond dans la nuit dans une impression douce.
Le style pictural est rapide, dynamique et audacieux. Il est fait de couches successives, rapides.
Les couleurs vives s’opposent à la lumière de la nuit, les touches imprécises du second plan sont à la limite de l’abstraction. On est dans une atmosphère: je laisse à l’amateur d’art le soin d’imaginer une histoire derrière ces fenêtres éclairées.

The famous Petit Palais is a museum of fine arts in Paris. It’s a masterpiece of architecture, both delicate and bold.
I wanted to represent it at night like in a fairy tale. Everything around it is quiet but inside the palace there are lights and we suppose there is an event in preparation.
The boldness and dynamic of my painting style contradict the delicate architecture of the building. The reds and oranges of the paint contradict the blue night sky.
The painting style is bold and dynamic, the lights from the big windows lets us imagine a story behind the walls. The left part of the building in the shadows of the night is almost abstract.
