Le soleil se lève sur le marché de Camden; Londres
Londres est un de mes sujets préféré; je le peins régulièrement; j’aime particulièrement ce mélange d’architecture: de maisons en briques et de bâtiments récents en glace.
Dans ce tableau j’ai joué sur les différences de tonalités entre les jaunes orangés du soleil se reflétant sur les murs et les bleu-nuit plus sombres des ombres des tentes du marché de Camden.
La peinture s’est faite par de nombreuses couches d’acrylique ajoutées petit à petit presque sans eau: dans la matière. Soit à coups de pinceaux, soit au couteau dans certaines parties du tableau.
J’aime ce travail dans la matière, quand on sent la peinture sous les doigts presque comme une pate.
Ce tableau de 3;4 kg est sur une toile coton polyester cloutée sur un support bois renforcé.
Prêt à accrocher au mur;
les clous sont apparents, sauf demande de l’acheteur.

A new day, a new future for people working at the market of Camden town, London.
A new day for the tourists and inhabitants visiting the city.
I love London, Obviously, it’s one of my favorite topic for painting. I love the mix between the ancient and the modern in architecture. Here, there are old brick and mortar houses surrounded by new glass building. The market is still there, unchanging, waiting for the people to come and visit it.
The sun is shining, welcoming the people to come to the market. I loved playing with the light and shadow, the warm colours of the sun reflecting on the walls and the dark, blue night colours of the market marquees.
