C’est l’été dans le sud de la France.

J’ai cherché par cette œuvre à recréer cette lumière aveuglante des jours d’été, cette sensation de chaleur et ces couleurs du sud.

Une petite maison du sud de la France avec ses gros murs pour la protéger de la chaleur et ses arbres, ses herbes folles un peu grillés par la canicule de cet été.

Les couleurs ne sont pas tout à fait réalistes et le style navigue entre réalisme figuratif et expressionnisme.

The scent of dry grass and lavender

The sunshine lighting up the blue sky and carrying us far away

It’s summertime in the South of France.

With this painting, I sought to recreate the dazzling light of summer days, that overwhelming sensation of heat, and the vibrant colours of the South.

It depicts a small house in the South of France, with its thick stone walls designed to keep the heat at bay, surrounded by trees and wild grasses, slightly scorched by this summer’s heatwave.

The colours are not entirely realistic, and the style moves between figurative realism and expressionism.

j’ai joué beaucoup sur les lumières, les reflets. le soleil sur la mer, sur les flaques d’eau au bord de la mer.
les enfants sont exagérément appuyés, c’est un style que je revendique.
les couleurs changent selon que le tableau est à l’ombre ou au soleil, il est très difficile d’avoir la gamme de couleurs sur une photo.
