In the Hotel Lounge : « Dans le foyer de l’hôtel » (Article in French and English—-)

Insomnie au bar de l’hôtel, la nuit est encombrée de sombres pensées, l’année est longue et difficile pour beaucoup.

Le peintre travaille à son tableau en pleine nuit, assaillie de pensées sombres et de peurs de l’avenir.

L’atmosphère du tableau est ambiguë et nostalgique, comme la nuit qui nous entoure fait ressortir parfois nos angoisses et notre solitude : les couleurs chaudes viennent contrebalancer les couleurs sombres : le jaune et les rouges donnent cette atmosphère douillette, ce cocon dans lequel on se réfugie.

Certains verront ce cocon protecteur, d’autres ressentiront cette angoisse latente, ce sentiment de ne pas maitriser l’avenir.

Comme souvent dans mes peintures on peut trouver deux lectures, le spectateur choisira la sienne.

Peinture acrylique sur une base acrylique bleu turquoise qui ressort par endroits dans certaines parties du tableau, le sujet se confond ainsi avec le support, le tableau s’ouvre et prend des bouffées d’oxygène et de liberté.

Acrylique sur toile, chassis en bois; protégée par un vernis acrylique brillant. Date, signé, Ruban noir cache clous sur les bords , prêt à accrocher au mur. Livrée avec facture et certificat d’authenticité.

Insomnia in the hotel lounge ; thoughts are circling in her head, the daylight is still far away. The year has been difficult and it’s not finished…

The artist is working on her painting in the middle of the night, trying to chase away somber thoughts about the future.

The atmosphere of the painting is cozy and nostalgic : the atmosphere of this lounge at night is like a comfortable blanket, warm and quiet. The bright colours of the lights reflecting on the red-orange amchairs gives an atmosphere of cozyness.

However, ones can feel the anguish perceived by the artist : the somber colours appear to engulf the place.

The acrylic painting is made on a first layer of turquoise blue acrylic that appears in some places of the painting : the painting is blending with the frame itself. It gives a sense of freedom; this painting is more an impression than a description of the reality.

Un été au jardin (Boulogne-Billancourt: jardin Albert Kahn)

Du calme, de la sérénité et de la beauté dans ces jardins japonais de la ville de Boulogne-Billancourt. Si ce n’était le bruit constant de l’autoroute qui passe auprès de ce jardin enchanté et qui nous rappelle la ville, on aurait pu rêver à peu de frais d’un voyage au bout du monde.

Ce qui m’a particulièrement plu dans la représentation de ce paysage urbain est cette touche de couleur vive au milieu de tout ce vert. Une tache de couleur dans cet océan immobile, une touche de passion dans ce paysage lisse et calme.

One summer day in the garden : Public garden « Albert Kahn » in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris.

This japanese garden is a beauty, a place of calm and serenity but for the motorway nearby that doesn’t let you forget that you are in a big city.

Anyway, look at the different parts that composed the garden where you dream about exotic fareway countries.

I particularlery enjoyed in this painting the red-orange japanese bridge that makes a passionnate contrast with the serenity and calm atmosphere of the trees in their green shapes and the brownish light of the water.

Ces studios ont accueilli 343 tournages de films, de l’ « Hôtel du Nord » de Marcel Carné à « l’aille ou la cuisse » de Claude Zidi, en passant par « La Boum » de Claude Pinoteau.

Ces studios font partie de l’histoire de Boulogne et de mon histoire personnelle.

Lorsque j’étais au collège non loin des studios, je faisais avec mes amies de nombreux allers-retours devant les studios, dans l’espoir d’en voir sortir la vedette de l’époque.

Ces studios sont une part de rêve, une échappée magnifique dans une vie quotidienne banale. Un peu d’étoiles que l’on attrape par procuration.

These cinema studios have seen lots of movies made there. The greatest actors and actresses have worked there, from Alain Delon to Jean Gabin, Jacques Tati…

It’s a part of the history of the city: Boulogne-Billancourt situated at one of Paris’door.

It’s also part of my history because I leaved nearby and when I left school in the afternoon, I used to walk with my friends in front of the studios hoping for Alain Delon, Gérard Depardieu or Catherine Deneuve to leave the set.
