Camden market: un mélange de cuir et de vinyles, un paradis pour les fans des sixties et des seventies. Un passage obligé pour les touristes.

Un cocon chaud et lumineux qui nous ramène au passé. La chaleur du bois qui contraste avec les lumières brillantes des néons. Les couleurs chaudes du plafond s’associent aux couleurs plus froides du parquet avec néanmoins une douce harmonie: on est dans une douce nostalgie…

Camden market: The flea market to be seen in London
If you want to come back to the seventies of the sixties, it’s the place to be…
It’s a warm place where you feel good. The warm colors of the lamps give the atmosphere a nice cosiness. I put a first layer of red-orange colours on which i painted the details of the painting. This first layer gives a warm touch to the painting.

Camden Market: Le marché des « puces » de Camden, au nord de Londres
Ses couleurs, ses odeurs de cuir et de de bois mélangé.
C’est un marché coloré, une ambiance particulière. On y trouve des vinyls, des vêtements et de quoi se restaurer.
C’est un souvenir de Londres, particulier en ces temps de repli sur soi.

Camden market: The flea market in London.

In an century where everything is changing, and changing quickly, there are still some places where nothing has changed: a thing of the past in a middle of a very modern and moving city: London.

There, you can buy vinyl’s from the seventies, dress with forties’ skirts and jackets and listen to sixties’ music.

There is a special atmosphere for treasure hunters, smells of wood and leather.
Outside there are smells of fish and chips and curry that invite you to travel in others parts of the world.
It’s a time machine…

This painting is a feel god painting a painting of a comfortable atmosphere where you are cut from the violence and the problems of the world.

London est une ville qui bouge, par ses projets architecturaux sans cesse renouvelés.
London est, pour moi, une ville de lumière, je l’interprète dans mes tableaux toujours de couleurs gaies, vives. Dans ce dernier tableau de Londres , je continue mon voyage pictural vers une ambiance plus floue, une atmosphère qui efface les lignes et la précision d’une scène urbaine. Je veux garder une image fugitive, je veux me promener dans un rêve.

For me London is a bright illuminated city always on the move, always changing
the idea of movement and light is shown by a deliberate force of the colours and a style close to expressionism that realism

Dans la série des théâtres parisiens, voici le dernier tableau: Pause déjeuner au théâtre du Ranelagh. Le théâtre semble vide mais les accessoires sont déjà sur la scène dans l’attente de la prochaine répétition. Les acteurs et actrices, les techniciens sont partis déjeuner. L’atmosphère est douce, les couleurs chaudes ; ce rouge prédominant qui pourrait apporter une sorte de violence au tableau est adouci par les lumières. L’ambiance est « cosy », on s’y sent chez soi.
Il s’agit d’un des plus vieux théâtre parisien: Le Ranelagh, caché dans une petite rue du 16ème arrondissement de Paris.
J’y ai fait mes premières armes en tant qu’actrice il y a quelques années,…
C’est une façon de rendre hommage à ce lieu magnifique, de se remémorer le temps qui passe, de mettre en valeur ces métiers du spectacle vivant pour lesquels j’ai toujours eu beaucoup d’affection.

Le tableau est prêt à accrocher au mur, il est protégé par un vernis acrylique brillant qui fait ressortir l’intensité des couleurs.
Il est daté, signé et délivré avec un certificat d’authenticité et une facture.
Les bords du tableau sont protégés par un ruban noir cache-clous.

Pause déjeuner au Ranelagh – lunch break at the Ranelagh

This is one of the oldest theatre in Paris; France.
The theatre seems empty and yet, there are some pieces of furniture on the scene: the actors and actresses, the staff are having lunch.

In a realist and yet while trying to create a special atmosphere, I played with the colors
the violence of the reds are softened by the lights of the theatre
